Spring Break!!

Alrights! It’s now the middle of the second semester in school, and I can honestly say some of it has dragged on way too long. Oh wells, this week will give me plenty of time to work on any projects I have, although I think I’ll spend more time watching anime and playing Persona 3.

I don’t have much else to say about the website progress or Dowase. I’ve been following too many anime series and playing too many jRPGs to keep track of anything else. Work and school take up the rest of my time, and I end up sleeping more than I would like. The spring series is almost here, and I really can’t wait. Although I love the current series (Gosick, Kore wa zombie desu ka, Fractale, Dragon Crisis, Yumekui Merry, and the continuation of Star Driver and Bakuman), I really want to see the next season of “The World God Only Knows”. Not to mention, Gosick will be continuing for the next season, which raises my expectation for the next season.

I’ve been really late to the company Atlus. I’ve played a few of their games (Tail Concerto, Rivera), but after playing the Shin Megami Tensei series (Persona 3, Devil Survivor), I’ve really begun to appreciate the work put into their games. I used to be a big platformer gamer, but after playing jRPGs for some time now, I’ve broadened my experience with more than just 2D platforming. I consider it good that I quit playing Maplestory, or I may have lost all my time in the world!

I know my post may be late, but I still can’t believe the disaster that has struck Japan. It’s a terrible, horrible tragedy and I can only hope for the best of the people living there. It makes you think how fast something can go from just fine to panic and chaos. My regards go out to everyone living and visiting Japan, for dealing with such a disaster.

This has been my March post. Maybe I’ll get another before April xP.

Wow, it’s already February. Amazing how time flies, no? Regardless, I understand I haven’t been on the site to make some adjustments, post about random stuff, and especially work on stuff I said I would do. Even when I’m not working, I tend to do nothing, and I really want to make this year more productive than last year. Starting with the site. However, that’s going to take time, and even with little work and school, I still tend to avoid working on what really needs to be done.

Enough about not doing what needs to be done. When it comes to the real world, I’d say I’m doing pretty well. This season of anime is decent, especially Gosick, Kore wa Zombie, and Dragon Crisis. I haven’t really caught up to everything I’m watching, so it’s all going really slow in terms of watching anime. Not to mention, I finished GTO, a series I can’t believe I missed in the long run. A great series, but the anime-original ending definitely didn’t hold up to how the series could’ve ended. Regardless, it seems as though I’ve been more interested in watching past series that slipped my mind, so I haven’t been keeping up with all of the current shows.

School has resumed, and my classes aren’t getting any easier. This semester isn’t too bad, but I don’t want to know how next year will be. I have to take ENG102, and I absolutely hate english classes. Maybe it’s because of the honors classes, but I still hate them. I love my classes this semester, but the workload is killer.

Returning back to the site. The song of the week is gone, no reason to keep up something I initially only planned for a couple of days. As soon as I find the time and energy to create a new skin for the site, I plan on reforming Dowase Games. This blog will still remain, as I have no intention of removing this blog. On another note, soundtrack updates to MapleStory purely depend on whether I feel like getting the music, naming it, and uploading it to the server. I don’t play the game anymore, I don’t have any intention to play the game anymore, and although I love the direction the music is taking, I don’t intend on searching for the newest tracks and placing them on the site when I have no idea where the track plays.

Well, that’s more than I had anticipated. Have a great Super Bowl weekend, and I intend to post some more in the future!

Man, it’s been a hell of a week, but it was all fun. I finally have another day off of work, which I won’t have another until New Year’s Day, so I’m looking to enjoy today as much as possible. I’ll keep this short, since it is Christmas, but I thought I’d wish everyone a happy and merry Christmas. (Happy Holidays to those who do not celebrate Christmas, as I’m sure many people do not.)

If you don’t follow my youtube account, now would be an awesome time to do so. I plan on uploading 11 videos for the new year, so come one down to my channel and subscribe! If LP’s aren’t your thing, subscribe to the Dowase Games channel for new content coming soon. All my video reviews will be done on that channel, with co-commentators as well! Heyos Everyones!

It’s already almost Christmas. Amazing how the time flies, no? Still, I’ve been busy with finals and work, so I’ve not had time for this site and other things (Such as my Let’s Plays). However, time will soon be available, as Finals are almost over, and the week will be coming to an end. Work hasn’t been nice to me either, making me get up too damn early to get a decent night’s sleep. However, it’ll all work out in the end, I’m sure.

Nothing necessarily new today either. Working on some collaborations with some of my friends for the channel, and trying to keep up with this season of anime. Hell, I just finished watching Kaichou wa maid sama, because I was stupidly holding off for Eclipse to finish, but I may as well finish the series before I forget what the damn thing was about. Other than that, it’s almost time for another season of anime, and I feel this season was decent, although not great. Amagami SS, although starting last season, is among my favorites.

I just spent $1000 on my car the other day as well, due to issues with the suspension and brakes. Not an easy setback, being Christmas time and all, but there wasn’t anything I could really do. All I can do is sit back, play Persona 3P and hope that things will go my way if I work hard enough. (Of course, I guess playing P3P isn’t a good example of working hard =P). Anyways, I’ll be updating the new track of the “week”. Last week’s was “Air Man ga Taosenai”, literally translated as “AIR MAN will not die!”. It was actually a remix included with the ED of Yosuga no Sora, a rather explicit anime; something I rather not dwell into.

How’s your Thanksgiving? A fun day to enjoy, I’m sure. Of course, the day everyone (with money) anxiously awaits is Black Friday, one of the best days to get deals for product. I didn’t purchase much, as I don’t have the funds to go all out, but I did snag a PSP from Amazon for $129 along with Raging Blast 2(DBZ) for $10.

I know I haven’t been updating much, but I’m still adapting moreso to the schoolwork going on right now. My schedule this semester sucks, so I haven’t had much free time with work and all. I actually should be working on a 7-page paper right now, but I’ll end up doing it later (Being the day before it’s due, naturally). Anyways, for those who have stuff to share regarding Black Friday, share your comments below! I’ll be back in full swing soon!

I heard it wasn’t October anymore, which means Halloween has passed!? Damn, and I had a great picture to put up to. Meh, I’ll put it up anyways! Now then, onto the post!

The reason I’ve been so behind is due to college and stress because my mother seems to enjoy spending money she doesn’t have, which leads to nobody in the house having money. It doesn’t help as my father is stuck on a boat in the middle of nowhere, fighting for our country. It’s not that I don’t respect that, I really do, but it would help if he didn’t have to leave during the holidays, which seem to be the most stressful time for everyone. The song of the week has been updated, as last week’s song was “Can you feel the Sunshine” from the hit game “Sonic R”. This week’s is a nice little song that I’ve loved as soon as I heard it for the first time.

The MapleStory soundtrack has been updated with a full compilation of all the tracks as of today. Some tracks in the mix are not listed on the website, due to overall laziness. So if you want to collect those songs, you might be better off holding on until I update the main page. Save your bandwidth for other useful things.

With all this time I’ve had not updating the site, I’ve been playing Sonic Adventure for the XBLA and Sonic 1 along with Sonic 4. If you’ve followed my youtube account, you’d understand that I love Sonic games, although it seems it hasn’t been the same with recent times. In addition, I’ve been keeping up with fall anime, and damn, it’s been awesome! Samurai Girls is one of my personal favorites, along with MM, The World God Only Knows, Ore no Imoto, Index II, Yosuga no Sora (Although this one is a little too extreme), and Bakuman. This has been a good anime season, and as soon as I have the time, I’ll definitely post my thoughts in detail on each of the series I’ve been keeping up with.

What’s up? I’m not posting enough? Nonsense! Life’s a bitch, and I can’t take my time off to simply make a post every other day! Well, in reality, the issue arises because I’m in the process of moving, so I don’t have the opportunity to post as often. In addition, I used to record my LP’s and then make a post on the blog, and without scheduling time for my videos, I don’t really schedule time to make posts. That’s why I haven’t been posting too often.

In other news, no new updates to kMS have been made, so I should have most of the songs in the database now. I still have some unlinked, but that’s due to laziness and my lack of time to add them in with “witty” comments. Hell, I should be a asleep since I have work in about 7 hours, but I don’t really think I’ll be getting too much sleep tonight anyways. This anime season’s going really well, as I’ve got about 7 series I’m following, including Ore no imoto, Bakuman, and Index II, just to name a few. I know I keep saying I’ll post reviews, but I really think I should focus on moving before I start working on other stuffs. I’ll also update the new Song of the Week. The previous track was “Running in the 90’s”, a fantastic track that deserves a listen.

Another Weekend at Home.

It’s been a rough week, and I’m still coping with everything. It wouldn’t be so bad, but waking up at 5:00 in the morning isn’t something I’m used to, so I’m usually tired immediately after work, and my schedule gets all messed up. Anyways, it’s a new week, and a new song has been added to the sidebar. The last song was Tori no Uta by Lia, the OP for the visual novel AIR. I rather enjoy this week’s tune, although I really didn’t know that this song existed as an actual song until recently.

Two reviews will be up before the end of this week, as I really don’t care about timing and whatnot. I should have a new game review, and an anime review from a series I’ve seen in the past. I hope it’ll add a spin on reviews that you’ll all enjoy. On another note, there haven’t been any new tracks for MapleStory, but I do need to fix some links as they aren’t working at the moment. In addition, the full pack will be updated soon enough.

You won’t find any new videos on my youtube account because my soundcard decided to die on me recently. Onboard Audio just doesn’t compare to the quality of an actual soundcard. Yet again, I don’t know how good my onboard audio is, but whatever. I hope you all enjoy this wonderful Saturday! Sleep in if you can, as it’s very enjoyable!

October? No wai!

Yeah yeah, it’s finally (or already) October! Hard to believe time’s been going by so fast, but I guess that happens when you have work and school together. I’ve been spending my spare time watching anime and playing Pokemon Black, but I’ve really been taking my time with both of those, as school has gotten the better of me. I think I may slack off a little too much when I really shouldn’t. But, what can you do, you know?

Anyways, I’m working on the forum a little bit, as well as developing the Dowase Games portion of the site a bit more. But really, I’m not doing too much. I can’t seem to get my recording process to work, disabling me from finishing AIR Flight, and so I’ve just spent time with my family, games and anime. I’ve finished K-On!!, and Asobi ni Iku yo!, both decent series that I can finally put to rest. Well, K-On! just had to announce a movie, as if the series wasn’t milked enough. I’ll be honest, I loved K-On!, but now KyoAni needs to move toward something new, preferably something that isn’t Slice of Life, but alas, it seems their new series involves yet another manga, one that reminds me of Lucky Star. I don’t hate these series, but I greatly preferred Clannad, AIR, and Kanon to these series. Maybe it was because the story was written by Key?

I may post my impressions on the fall season, but that’ll have to wait until tomorrow. I’m getting ready for bed, as I have work at 6AM in the morning, and I really don’t want to be caught slacking. Seeya’s Everyones!

Another Week Ends.

I know, it’s been awhile since I was able to post again, and my videos kinda stopped. Two reasons for that. One, school has been hell this week, and two, POKEMON BLACK. It’s an awesome game, and most definitely worth the money to get it. I’m close to beating it, and my friend who has White completely beat the game yesterday. I’ve been working hard to figure out the story more so than progress in the game, so I’ve been taking my time with it.

The song of the week has changed. Last weeks (1) was the Title Screen of the popular MMO Survival Project. Of course, it wasn’t popular enough to still be alive. I really wish I had the opportunity to purchase the rights to publish the game in the United States, but I don’t really have a representative to work with me on it. So, that goes down the drain. This weeks song will be revealed next week, so try your best to figure out the tune!

I don’t really have too much to talk about now. I’ve also been playing the SA1 port for Xbox 360 alongside Pokemon, as well has spending my mornings working. There also won’t be a post or video tomorrow, because I’m going to the Waterpark. Yeah, in AZ, we can still go until the beginning of November. It really doesn’t get that cold in this part of Arizona, which I hope to get away from in the near future. Anyways, have fun, and I hope to begin my anime reviews in the near future, because the new season starts before you know it!
