Hey guys! Mark here and the new season if I could describe it would be. Just okay. So far nothing too crazy except for a couple titles I’ve been anticipating to be 9/10s would watch again. Here’s my list of what I am watching that’s brand new to the lineup.
Comet Lucifer (8bit)
Oh boy, I saw the first episode and it really didn’t have much of an impact on me. AND THEN MECHS OUT OF NOWHERE. My first thought about this show was “Eureka 7 definitely looks different.” The show itself was just okay. The opening song is done by Fhána which I definitely enjoyed, mainly due to the fact that they did the OP for Kawai Complex..but that’s aside from the point. The character designs didn’t really have anything worth noting, nor do I think cosplayers are going to like go crazy about…yet at least. The story was actually pretty predictable too, then again after watching a good amount of anime, I feel like that is the case for a lot of shows. Its a pretty fun show and I am definitely interested in how its going to play out. I do recommend giving it a try.
Concrete Revolutio: Choujin Gensou (Bones)
Bones. Like BONES. REALLY BONES?! After the first episode, I just didn’t know how to feel about any of this. We’ve got witches, and aliens, and uh MECHS? It was all so colorful too. I really didn’t know where it was going with this yet. Then again, I’ve only seen one episode so far. I feel like this anime has potential if done properly. I sorta have high hopes but low expectations for this anime. (If that makes any sense) Hell, just watch the first episode.
Gakusen Toshi Asterisk- (A-1)
So, Kirito goes to a school with a whole tournament near the end to decide some sort of war, but then he actually is fighting for some other reason. And ends up meeting and fighting some lame flame wielding hime-dere. Yeah…this show, its not bad The animation quality is pretty good, but it should be since its A-1. The story is REALLY generic though. LIKE so generic that this season has two of these types of anime. Seriously. Not kidding. I did like how the fight scenes for this were done, I can tell this is going to be pretty high action with some tasteful fan service here and there. So if you like Sword Art Online and some Harem-esque tones, then give this a watch.
Haikyuu!! Season 2 (Production I.G)
MORE LIKE HYPEKYUU!! AMIRITE?! I’ve been waiting for this to come out. Everything about the first episode I felt was on point. They haven’t changed their formula at all, so that’s awesome. The story picks right back up where they had previously left off and everyone is still as goofy as ever. They’ve announced some new rivals. Hinata actually turns out to NOT be a little bitch when confronting people from other teams. I feel its gonna be a good ride to just root for these kids again. Also Tsuki is still a dick. That will never change.
Heavy Object (J.C Staff)
I was expecting lots of mechs. Lots and lots of mechs. What did I get? The equivalent to all the mechs I was expecting, put into one SUPER “HU-EGG” mech. The show itself is easily starting out to be an 8/10. Animation quality is definitely not lacking at all, and for a show I’ve never heard anything about I was not expecting the amount of fan service I received. The MC had a couple great moments as well. The internal struggle he had of saving a life or being considered a pervert is something no one should ever have to go through. I expect great things from this.
Kidou Senshi Gundam: Tekketsu no Orphans (Sunrise)
Finally! A Gundam (Besides Build Fighters, because Build Fighters was great.) that doesn’t suck to start out with! Thank you Sunrise. Seriously, THANK YOU.
Story-wise, I am not sure if this is supposed to be part of the UC universe, or where it lies in the “time line” But whatever, the show already started with an intense fight to show off some of the mobile suits. Like the new “Zaku” Which pretty much just looks like a sleeker Leo. And then there is this guy.
I am really not sure how I feel about the designs for some of the characters though. Some look super serious, while others….others just don’t feel like they fit in at all. I definitely thought it was pretty nifty that the pilots practically have to be connected to the mobile suits in order to pilot them. If you are into Gundam or maybe looking to get into it, this would be something I might recommend trying out. Though, I am really hoping this doesn’t tank later on into the season.
Lance N’ Masques (Studio Gokumi)
This show..is god awful. But I am watching it, because of how god awful it is. It LITERALLY is the MC is going to White Knight every pure maiden ever. No questions asked. Also. The horse is a girl too and is part of MC-kun’s harem. MC-kun’s dad literally looked like a normal high schooler. There also happens to be a loli. And a scary maid. Yeah. Animation quality isn’t too bad though. But other than that..I’ll probably drop this. M’lady.
ONE PUNCH MAN (Madhouse Studios)
Here. It. IS. Guys, THIS. IS. ANIME. OF. THE. SEASON. I’ve read a good chunk of the manga and seriously. This first episode exceeded all expectations. Everything about this show has so far been A+ The animation style is seriously so over-the-top, that you could swear that Trigger had a hand in doing this. (Actually I am surprised that Trigger wasn’t the one handling this.) The OP has Jam Project. ITS JUST SO HYPE.
So basically! If you somehow haven’t heard anything about this show; it follows Saitama, a person who out of sheer boredom decided to become a superhero. Saitama literally trained so hard that he literally only needs…..ONE PUNCH to beat any enemy set in front of him. His training also resulted in him losing all his hair. This anime is not something anyone needs to take seriously. Hell the show itself doesn’t take itself seriously. Just sit back, and enjoy the ride.
Rakudai no Kishi Eiyuutan (Silver Link)

Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shittai ga Umatteiru (Troyca)
I actually wasn’t planning on watching this show at first because I wasn’t sure how well an anime about bone forensics was going to be.. turns out its actually better than expected. If you ever watched and enjoy the show Bones, then this anime is def for you. The story follows a high schooler by the name of Shoutarou Tatewaki who hangs around Sakurako Kujou, a mysterious woman who in enamored by bones; animals and humans alike. The two happen to always stumble upon the human remains though, which sorta leads to them trying to figure out what exactly caused their deaths and what not. The animation is quite clean, and when main girl goes into her super focus mode, the CG really makes the scene look a lot better. A couple laughs here and there, and the first episode honestly leaving me wanting for more. The characters themselves aren’t bland, but I can already tell that the MC is trying to go for the old NTR route.
Subete ga F ni Naru: The Perfect Insider (A-1)
I’m a sucker for anime that just make you think. BUT THIS. THIS IS LITERALLY TOO MUCH THINKING INVOLVED IN THIS SHOW. So far I’ve only seen one episode, and I don’t know exactly what is going on. All that’s been talked about is main girl wants Sensei’s D really badly, Sensei is like a young super genius, and the story is gonna revolve around some genius killer. I want this to be good and hopefully the pace picks up within the next couple episodes.
Taimadou Gakuen 35 Shiken Shoutai (Silver Link)
I really don’t know what to say about this show. I think it’s definitely going to be a guilty pleasure for me this season since the story is pretty bad. I think like most of the viewers we are here for the real “plot” and see how much “development” each character is going to show. The story is about Takeru Kusanagi, who is the Captain of the 35th platoon, a.k.a The Small Fry. They’ve got a super lewd professor, bunny girl with lots of “plot” and “development”, and a crappy tsundere loner prodigy who has all the problems in the world that no one will ever understand until the MC tells her that he will protect that smile because this is basically going to be a show where the worst girl wins. Oh and Takeru is also able to use a japanese sword pretty well. I think this show might some how turn out to be great later on though. And hey, if anything else the ED is down by Kanako Itou so that’s pretty awesome!
So that’s what I am watching this season! It’s going to be an okay ride, and honestly I might end up using this season to mainly catch up with my never ending backlog. Yeah. While you were reading this you were probably wondering why I haven’t listed some of other bigger titles from this season, and well the reason is because…..A lot of them are second or third seasons of a show. Or, I just REALLY didn’t want to pick it up unless I was recommended otherwise!

Owari no Seraph. (Yeah. That’s backlogged) or Maybe Shingeki no Kyojin: Screw the Fans Let’s Just Give Them A Crappy Spin Off Cause We Know The Show is Bad But These Guys Will Eat This Crap Up Anyway. Please. No.
