I know I’ve discussed Madoka’s opening in the past. Shaft often has crazy openings that really don’t follow normal conventions, yet still manage to amaze and dazzle the audience. In the case of Madoka, let’s just say that misleading is the word of the day here. I think the opening is a fantastic opening, and really conveys what Shaft is trying to say, but I still feel the series tried a bit too hard in many departments, which is why this isn’t particularly one of my favorite openings. I just appreciate the opening vastly.
